Our Courses

Perspective Basics 101 - Block 1: The Dimensional Foundation

Abstract drawing of series of cube and rectangular shapes, some outlined in black, with one yellow shape on the right.

The Goal: Master the "DNA" of drawing.

Most students struggle because they are drawing flat shapes. In this block, we unlock "3D Vision." We start with the Cube—the building block of the universe—and learn how to place it in space using Isometric, 1-point, and 2-point perspective.

The Win: By the end of Week 4, students will move past "guessing" and start building with mathematical certainty.

Key Projects: The X-Ray Cube, The Stacking Challenge, and The Hero Room design.

Perspective Basics 101 - Block 2: Form & Flow

Sketch of a collection of small machinery components and parts, including cylindrical objects, a circular device, and a nozzle or pipe.

The Goal: From rigid boxes to organic life.

Now that we can build a box, we learn how to "wrap" it. This block introduces Contour Lines—the secret tool of the draftsman. We explore how to turn rigid structures into flowing, organic forms like cylinders, sausages, and complex curves.

The Win: Students will learn to feel the surface of their drawings, allowing them to draw rounded objects that look like they hold real weight.

Key Projects: The Wireframe Bean, Wrapping Surfaces, and LEGO-Style construction

Perspective Basics 101 - Block 3: Analytical Deconstruction

A technical drawing of a small race car with wheels, a streamlined body, and detailed components.

The Goal: Professional-grade "X-Ray Vision."

This is the masterclass level. We take everything from Blocks 1 and 2 and apply it to the real world. We learn to deconstruct complex subjects—from insects and animals to cameras and vehicles—into their core geometric skeletons.

The Win: Students graduate with the ability to look at any object in the real world, understand its "internal blueprint," and draw it from any angle.

Key Projects: Organic Studies, Point of View Iterations, and Exploded-View Plans.

The Digital Draftsman Course - Block 1: The Digital Drafting Board

Sketch of a room with a large window showcasing mountains, furniture including a desk with a computer monitor, a chair, a small table with a cup, and a framed picture on the wall.

The Goal: Mastering the tools without losing the soul of the drawing.

Most kids treat digital art like a coloring book. We treat it like a professional workstation. We focus on the Technical Workflow—layers, non-destructive editing, and using digital brushes to mimic the ballpoint pen and pencil feel they learned in 101.

The Win: Understand how digital tools are used to paint and light a scene.

Key Project: Using layers to build a complex gadget, scene, or landscape.

The Digital Draftsman Course - Block 2: The Logic of Light (Values & Form)

A digital artwork depicts a variety of geometric shapes on a table, including a green cube, a white and black rectangular prism, a blue rectangular shape, a purple cone, and a pink sphere, with a telescope or microscope in the background against a gradient sky.

The Goal: Rendering 3D volumes using light and shadow.

This is where we learn how to apply shadow construction methods. We learn about core shadows, terminator edges, and cast shadows. We don't just "shade"; we use light to prove the 3D form we built in Block 1.

The Win: Understanding that "Color is just the icing; Value is the cake."

Key Project: The "Lit Prime Forms" (rendering spheres, cylinders, and boxes in a dramatic spotlight).

The Digital Draftsman Course - Block 3: Cinematic Environments

Close-up view of a retro-style electronic device with a blue light, surrounded by abstract lines and shapes.

The Goal: Atmosphere and Storytelling.

The "Final Boss" level. We combine 3D perspective with digital painting to create a full world. We cover atmospheric perspective (making things look far away), textures, and cinematic lighting to tell a story.

The Win: A portfolio-ready piece that looks like it belongs in a video game or an animated film.

Key Project: A complex environment piece featuring an object from Block 1
